In the midst of my own hectic life (transitioning out of a full-time marketing and communications position into focusing on my art business full-time, YAY) and being quite busy planning my own wedding, I realized that I never shared my first wedding photography experience here on the blog! The photos of this stunning couple were posted to my
limefish facebook page, but in case you missed them, I'll share some of my favorites here as well!
I couldn't be more thrilled with the wonderfully sweet couple I was able to work with. I had shot their
engagement photos a while back and never dreamed it would lead to them asking me to shoot their wedding!!! I was quite nervous, but also overjoyed. Although the weather was quite warm on Sunday, May 27th, the skies were vibrant, and guests were filled with excitement as they watched Heidi and Dan exchange vows on a family farm in Scottsville, Virginia. I wish them all my best wishes as they embark on their exciting journey as husband and wife.

The attractive couple! |

Lovely clutches made by Just a Little Ditty on etsy.

The Bride asked for a shot of their rings on a branch, and we found this lovely giant bloom! |
This photo melts my heart. The dried rose in the center of the bouquet is actually a rose from the Bride's father's funeral. This was such a special and unique way of incorporating him and holding him close during her special day. |
I loved this idea! The couple wanted to do a "First Look" and they actually had their parents nearby to witness!
It was such a special and intimate moment. |

The Bride & Groom sharing a sweet alone moment before the guests arrived and the ceremony began! |
SO fun! The couple had lawn games at their wedding, so we snapped a few fun pre-ceremony shots! |
The tearful groom & beautiful bride walked by her two brothers! |
Oh my goodness! The most precious little ring boys! |
Such a stunning ceremony spot! |
I just have to share the similar photo I took during their
engagement session nearly a year prior!
LOVE this sweet little detail. |
I created this thumbprint tree for their guestbook, and will soon be adding custom prints to my etsy shop! |
First dance ---- so sweet! |
Mmmmmmm - they had not one cake, not two cakes, but THREE cakes!!! |
CONGRATULATIONS to this beautiful couple. I couldn't have asked for a better 'first wedding' photographing experience. I wish them all the bliss in the world!
