There are some couples that you can tell immediately are meant to be together. When I met Dani and Matt years ago in our small college town, there was no doubt in my mind that they would one day get married. Never had I imagined though that I would be the lucky photographer! Their love for one another, easy-going personalities, and the breathtaking location made my job a piece of cake. I couldn't have asked for a better second wedding to photograph and am truly honored I was able to share in their intimate day. I wish them a lifetime of happiness, love, and treasured memories. Enjoy browsing some of my favorite photos from their incredible day!
They chose to rent a beautiful home in Corolla, North Carolina and were able to enjoy the company of friends and family for an extended celebration.
I couldn't resist gifting this special bride one of my custom painted hangers for her stunning dress!
The details are amazing!
She was all smiles all morning!
Wanting to hold true to the tradition of not seeing each other before
the wedding, instead Dani and Matt opted to exchange letters before the
ceremony. These served almost like their personal vows and sharing this
special intimate moment before the ceremony only intensified their
exciting to say, "I Do!" When I heard their idea I knew it would make
for memorable photos!
Having recently had my own wedding and done a similar "Father-Daughter First Look," I was thrilled when Dani told me she wanted this special moment captured. The look on her father's face when he first saw her was beyond priceless.
The backyard of the house led up and over the dunes to the ceremony on the beach.
During the ceremony, they participating in a special "knot" ritual in honor of Matt's Celtic background.
And you can't take family portraits without the pup!
They were so much fun! We took a handful of traditional photos before they gave me some sass!
And heading for the water wasn't a problem considering most of the wedding party, Bride included, were barefoot during the ceremony! Love it!
These two are so precious!
I loved this idea! We had all the guests on the mid level deck and the wedding party and parents on the top level deck. I'm sure they got a kick out of me trying to charade instructions across the way.
The beautiful entirely-edible (and dangerously delicious) sand castle cake.
